Space Maintainers

Space maintainer is a specially made appliance, which holds the space for an erupting permanent tooth. They are indicated in the children with premature loss of baby teeth due to cavities and / or extractions. When baby teeth are lost way before the successor permanent teeth are ready to come in, the adjacent teeth start drifting into the empty space and will not leave enough space for the replacing permanent tooth to erupt in. This condition warrants the use of a space maintainer. During regular dental visits at our Care Dental clinic, our dentist recommends the use of space maintainer based on individual needs.
